The app actually looks like an advanced version of a default phone app that every smartphone has. On Android or iPhone, it is equally easy to use. During the installation, you have to confirm your number via an SMS or a Telegram message. If you are not a Telegram user, SMS is the only option. You can also connect social media or your email to secure your account.

The app can be installed as your default phone app. It is just as easy to use as any dedicated phone app. But all the details it can share with you about numbers calling you or your own number are available immediately. So if you decide to use it anyway, you better make it your default one.

No matter if you install GetContact as your default phone app or not. It can still handle your calls and contacts. You can make calls from it and get your own tags to see how other users list your number. 

One of the greatest things about GetContact is its spam list. It reports the stats on phishing and other fraud in your region. With it, you can also protect yourself from potentially dangerous calls by simply warning you or blacklisting all these numbers preventively. The latter option, though, may prevent some organizations from calling you when you do need it.

Getting information about others in GetContact means you have to share yours. It needs your entire contact list; so even if you don’t have it installed, the service probably already has you listed. This data can be dangerous if misused. On the other hand, if your data is endangered, you will not aggravate it by installing the app. If you’re concerned, you may remove yourself from its database manually.
