The Sims™ 4
The Sims™ 4 review
The Sims 4 is a life simulation game developed by EA Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. The Sims 4 is the fourth major title in the life simulation video game series The Sims. The Sims 4 is the successor to The Sims 3 and is the first game in the series to be available for both Microsoft Windows and OS X.
Gameplay
A major aspect of gameplay in The Sims 4 is the emotion system. Emotions are also a new type of gameplay mechanic. The player's Sims can experience five primary emotions, which are happy, angry, embarrassed, sad, and afraid. A Sim will react to other Sims, objects, and events in the game based on these emotions. For example, a Sim may receive a "Feeling Angry" +5 buff or a "Feeling Embarrassed" -5 debuff. Gameplay consists of three parts: building, managing, and playing. In the first part, players have to build a house and fill it with furniture. Then, they have to take care of the inhabitants, provide them with what they need and keep them happy. In the third part, players take control of their character and do what they want.
Graphics
The Sims 4 was announced on April 25, 2013, and the first trailer was released on June 15, 2013. EA Maxis confirmed on June 17, 2014 that The Sims 4 will not contain a toddler life stage. The graphics are detailed and attractive. They provide a nice, realistic picture of the Sims' world.
Information about replayability
The Sims 4 offers a new type of gameplay called "dynamic environments." Dynamic environments allow Sims to interact with whatever is in the environment. You can have a Sim cook on the stove, for example, or start a fire. There are no expansions for the Sims 4 yet, but there are many things to do in the game, such as career paths, skills, and traits.
